Life Force Counseling therapist Amelie Morgan for mental health therapy anxiety, depression, sexual issues, relationship, eating disorders, nutrition counseling

Amelie Morgan, LCSW, MA, Certified Sex Therapist

As an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist, I draw from a range of psychotherapeutic approaches, focusing heavily on dynamics within your family of origin, nutrition counseling, and mindfulness meditation. I am committed to education and supervision on matters related to bio-medical conditions, intimacy, relationships, boundaries, pleasure, safe embodiment, and other aspects of this realm. Sexual pain, issues with orgasm, ED, vaginismus, and other challenges related to sexuality are all within my wheelhouse.

I am drawn to non-dualism, theories of personality, and theories of cognitive dissonance and belief-justification. I hold my clients’ emotion and information with great honor and charge myself with the soaring responsibility of continued research and training.

I graduated from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, frequently ranked as the country’s #1 school of social work. My experience in the mental health field includes crisis response, inpatient psychiatric care, community-based advocacy, eating disorder treatment programs, and outpatient therapy.

Long before I was drawn to the mental health field, I obtained a Master of Arts degree with a focus on poetry from Southeast Missouri State University. Having trained in classical music in my youth, I understand the complex benefits and the costs of maintaining a discipline. To keep things light, I have a daily yoga and meditation practice, find humor in strange sounds and music, and like to spend time chilling out with my family.

Christine Stoutenburg, LPC, NCC, Sex Therapist

Life may be stressful and overwhelming at times. I can help you with learning to enjoy life more rather than being stuck in the hard times. I am an experienced sex and couples therapist with a keen ability to help clients refine their communication and resolve anxiety. With over 20 years of experience, I am able to help you find different strategies for how to worry less and do more “self care.” My treatment approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness. I work with teens, adults, and older adults on anxiety, depression, grieving, relationships, perinatal, postpartum, divorce, self esteem, & trauma.

My goal in therapy is to help clients identify their negative thoughts, feelings, behaviors, anxiety triggers, & past traumas. It is my hope to be a part of your therapeutic journey and help you achieve your personal goals. I am a therapist with kids, step kids, been married, divorced, & part of a blended family. Life is beautiful and messy at the same time!

I am passionate about empowering and aiding clients to be their own advocates to improve their overall wellness. I’m here to listen and offer and support you through your journey. I offer a supportive and safe environment for you to feel at ease with sharing, learning new tools and strategies to improve your toughest challenges in life.

Gabrielle Carlwell, LSW, Sex Therapist

I pride myself on setting a space that permits you to take an inspired role in your healing journey, and it is my job to provide support and empowerment. As a sex therapist, I understand that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all practice, which is why I tailor my approach to each client depending on the nuance of the situation. It gives my life meaning to participate in a healing community, working one-on-one with people, offering a safe space to process whatever is needed: life, relationships, triggers, and other obstacles, and develop useful and pragmatic coping tools.

I work with teens, adults, and couples. As a trauma-informed therapist, I have worked in the community in various capacities, including sexual assault survivors, residential home settings for older adults, as part of court mandated group counseling for perpetrators of domestic violence, as well as with survivors of abuse (along with their children). I’ve worked with people of all age ranges, all walks of life, and all ethnicities. I have also completed some training in EMDR and can offer that modality on request.
